Facts and your collection are stored on your device. Version 2.0 does not use the OpenAI API. The free version uses Google AdMob and UMP for advertising and privacy choices. Apple processes the optional Pro purchase.

Fact catalog and local storage
The app includes a fact catalog in a local SQLite database. Selecting and displaying facts happens on your device; this does not send dates, interests, or facts you have read to OpenAI or a developer-operated server.
Collected facts, favorites, the daily allowance, topic priorities, region, period, language, appearance, and reminder choices are stored locally. An earlier collection is preserved in the archive after updating. There is no developer account or app-provided cloud sync. Your iOS settings govern device backups.
Widgets and reminders
The app and widget share a disposable copy of the language, interests, today’s selected fact, and last confirmed Pro status on the same device. The widget reads its own catalog and checks access through Apple’s StoreKit. Your full collection and favorites list are not passed to the widget.
Optional daily reminders are scheduled locally by iOS after your permission. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS notification settings.
Pro purchases through Apple
Pro is an optional, non-consumable one-time purchase. Apple processes payment, restoration, and any refunds through your Apple Account. The app verifies signed StoreKit transaction information to unlock Pro or update access. This includes product and transaction identifiers and purchase and revocation information. The developer does not receive complete payment details. Apple’s privacy policy governs Apple’s processing.
Advertising and privacy choices
The free version uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for banner advertising and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent and privacy choices. Depending on consent, region, and device configuration, processing may include IP address or approximate region, permitted device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions, and usage, diagnostic, crash, and performance data. Uses include delivering and measuring ads and protecting and improving Google’s services.
UMP checks consent status, and the app starts ad requests only when UMP permits them. Where Google provides the entry, you can change your decision under Ad privacy options in Settings. Google’s retention and deletion follow your choices and the linked Google policies.
With Pro active, the app displays no ads and makes no new ad requests. Buying Pro does not retroactively delete data previously processed by an advertising provider.
Sources, website, and contact
Source articles, privacy pages, and other web links load only when you open them. The website provider then receives connection data needed to serve the page, such as your IP address. Its privacy information applies. This website is hosted on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH and has a separate linked website privacy notice; this hosting is distinct from the app’s discontinued OpenAI fact requests.
If you contact us by email, your sender address, message, and technical metadata are used to handle the request. Send only the information needed to explain it.
Retention and deletion
Your personal collection and settings are retained locally. Favorites can be removed in the app; deleting the app generally removes its local data. System backups and Apple’s purchase history are separate. The developer has no remote access to your collection. Switching between Free and Pro does not delete facts or favorites; favorite features are hidden without Pro.
Support requests are deleted once no longer needed, unless legal retention duties apply. For data held by Apple and Google, see their linked information and settings.
Your rights and changes
Subject to legal requirements, rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to a data protection supervisory authority. Send requests to guhlutions@gmail.com.
The app is not specifically directed at children. This notice applies to version 2.0 and will be updated when data processing changes. Earlier versions may still request facts through the OpenAI API; updating ends that use within the app.
